George Lopez-

I think George Lopez is a comedy, because it always starts in their kitchen which is a considered a normal room. Then next there is a conflict. Like when George and his wife Angie went over their budget and they had a contest who would be the cheapest person over the week. Then after a while it turns into a disaster. Then here's the resolution, they finally come to a conclusion that they can spend money, but just not that much, BUT here is the part that stumped me. George Lopez doesn't always return to normalcy. Sometimes they just solve the conflict and the story is over, so I would call this mostly a comedy.
Good point. I would agree with you. They always start with normalcy, and just work around the plot line, but don't return to normalcy. I guess that would be considered mostly comedy. Right? It is a bit confusing. I agree with you. But then again, the writers of the show aren't sitting there detailing the show on a plot line, so they can tweak it however they want.
ReplyDeleteYeah, I agree with you and Evan, it doesn't always turn out to be normalcy. But that's just in one episode, usually when it ends in a "bad" spot, they continue it into another episode and eventually things turn out alright. So writing about George Lopez and trying to find a mode can be very hard, I'm glad you tried it and put up a good argument!
ReplyDeleteThis was something fun to read. I liked to see your opinion of George Lopez, and your point of view. I was looking at your writing ahead in your blog, and I can see that your writing has improved a lot through the school year. Good job using an example in your writing too. Keep up the good work!
