Friends

In a person's life, they find a friend; a friend to rely on. In my experiences, my friends and I  would  find hiding spots, play games, and most importantly, getting through life knowing some one's "got  your back."

Tom's romantic life reflects on many people, and most of those people needed some time to get  away from ordinary life, but for Tom, his life was what we consider a romanticism. He went  through everyday life having a friend to support him and make his decisions in life. One of those  friends was Huck Finn. Huck went on many adventures with him. They went pirating, treasure  hunting, observed a murder, and just had fun. Tom and Huck had some great times and some  difficult times, but in the end they come out to be great friends.

Mark Twain had a certain theme in his book. Not only was it escapism, but it was the friendship  between three young boys. Tom's life is just like yours or mine. We all need someone, whether it's  a parent, friends, relatives, or even a little furry dog. Even though we are from different times, we  all rely on each other.

  1. i definitely agree with you. It is always nice to know that a friend has your back at all times. You can rely on them for anything. Huck Finn is a great friend in the act of supporting Tom's crazy ideas. You really need to be a true friend to risk your life for them as Huck did. I enjoy your intro but it is a little unclear. I also think that you have a great personality and that might be just what this piece is lacking.

  2. I like how you compared Tom and Huck's relationship to everyday life, it makes it easier to relate to. The first paragraph seemed a little unclear to me. Other than that, everything seems fine to me.

  3. This was a good writing piece Jack. I agree with you on how we need a close friend that will watch our back. One thing I got from this book though is that Huck seems to be a follower. He went along with Tom's crazy tasks for Jim while Jim was a prisoner of Aunt Sally and Silas. Huck is a good friend, but he should learn how to be able to disagree with a friend's ideas.
